Ignacy Jan Paderewski, The Most Beautiful Paderewski

for piano, PWM 10175

This collection contains Paderewski’s most popular works for piano, beginning with the famous Minuet Op. 14 No. 1 all the way to the Krakowiak. Written in the late Romantic style, they contain a wealth of singing melodies, dramatic moments, expressive agogic and dynamic changes and many references to traditional music – including continuous echoes of Polish dances. These pieces are suitable for students at the beginning of advanced level as well as for professional pianists. Although mostly too long for the purpose of an exam, they are excellent concert pieces, giving great pleasure to both the listener and the performer.
