25 educational videos, 5 renowned violin teachers from different countries, 30 new recordings of Polish violin music
The violin edition of the “Music from Chopin’s Land” campaign presents a wide range of Polish violin music: from works by Henryk Wieniawski, Karol Lipiński and other 19th century Polish composers, through Karol Szymanowski and Grażyna Bacewicz, to composers of educational music: Antoni Cofalik and Ewa Iwan. Each of the 25 films is available in six language versions: English, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Polish. Videos were released on June 27th, 2022.

Violinist, chamber musician, educator, methodologist. Graduate of the Academy of Music in Gdansk in the class of prof. Maria Suwara. For many years she was a violinist with the Warmia-Mazury Philharmonic Orchestra in Olsztyn and a member of the Con Flauto quartet. Founder and conductor of the ABSOLWENT string orchestra. She teaches violin at the State Primary and Secondary Music School in Olsztyn and at the State Music School in Dywity. She has attended methodological courses of Almita Vamos and many other well-known educators. Her students and the chamber ensembles she leads are very successful at competitions. She conducts workshops for children and teachers. She is a juror of violin competitions. She has been honored with numerous teaching awards.

Graduate of the Academy of Music in Kraków. He is a concertmaster of the Kraków Opera, a soloist with many orchestras and a member of several chamber ensembles. In addition to his artistic activities, he is involved in teaching. He runs a violin class at the Secondary Music School of the 1st degree in Cracow. He is also a juror for many competitions and auditions. He created the musical educational project “Spring of Young Chamber Players”, of which he is the artistic director. As an educator, he also publishes articles on child pedagogy. He is the originator and one of the organizers of the National Violin Competition “Vivaldi” in Wieliczka. Paweł Wójtowicz is also a composer of pedagogical pieces.

Artist-songwriter, musician-chamber musician, educator. Member of the famous “Cracow Trio” (1964-89), which has given concerts across all continents, for many years the concertmaster of the PRiTV Orchestra in Cracow and the Pomeranian Philharmonic in Bydgoszcz. He has taught at the Academies of Music in Katowice and Bydgoszcz, and currently at the F. Chopin Secondary School of Music in Kraków. His students include winners of numerous national and international competitions. He is a consultant to first and second level music schools on violin class and curriculum, a lecturer at summer violin courses and workshops, and a jury member at many violin competitions. He is the author of the most popular violin textbook in Poland, numerous studies of violin literature and composer of didactic pieces.

Violinist, educator, composer. For years she has been associated with music schools and universities in Katowice. She is the author of a violin coursebook for grades I – III “Ładnie gram” (PWM, 2005), as well as various pedagogical pieces for violin and piano and arrangements for orchestra and chamber ensembles. Ewa Iwan conducts seminars, lectures and consultations for teachers (among others within the framework of Music Education Days), is a juror and co-organizer of violin competitions.

Composer, violinist, cellist, conductor. The beginning of his career was connected with orchestras, in which he was concertmaster and conductor. In 1814, at the instigation of Ludwig Spohr, he decided to pursue a career as a virtuoso violinist, giving up his previous work as a conductor and devoting himself exclusively to perfecting his violin technique and preparing repertoire. In 1817 he began a regular artistic tour throughout Europe. In 1839 he settled permanently in Dresden, where for twenty years he served as concertmaster of the orchestra of King Frederick August of Saxony.

Composer, pianist, educator and conductor as well as philosopher. He was professor of harmony and counterpoint at the Music Institute in Warsaw, and artistic director of the Warsaw Music Society. It was his initiative to establish the Conservatory of the Kraków Music Society in 1887, where he served as director until his death. Here he taught organ and music theory classes. His pupils included Zygmunt Stojowski, Roman Statkowski, Henryk Opieński, Felicjan Szopski and Bolesław Wallek-Walewski.

Composer, jazz violinist, conductor, arranger and music producer. As leader of the String Connection jazz ensemble, he has toured Europe, the United States and Canada. He has recorded over 30 albums of his compositions for many prestigious record labels. Since 1986 he has limited his concert activity, devoting himself to composing. He has composed over 50 symphonic and chamber works. He has written music for over 50 feature films and documentaries, and also creates theatrical and experimental music. In 1991 he also took up conducting, and his discography as a conductor already includes over a dozen titles.
He has taught at summer music courses in Ankara, Darmstadt, and San Diego, among others. He continues his teaching and research activities at the I. J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań. -
Composer, violinist, educator, conductor and publicist. He was active in the Warsaw Music Society, and acted as conductor of the opera and second conductor of the Warsaw Philharmonic. He has led the class of composition at the Institute of Music in Warsaw. Endowed with an outstanding pedagogical sense, he educated an entire generation of Polish composers within 20 years. His students included: Henryk Melcer, Grzegorz Fitelberg, Mieczysław Karłowicz, Karol Szymanowski, Ludomir Różycki. Noskowski was also involved in music criticism and gave talks and lectures on music. He followed the development of newer music and assimilated new advances in technique and musical style with interest. His lively temperament did not allow him to limit himself to just one musical form; he tried his hand at all creative fields.

Composer and educator. Initially, he studied law at the University of Warsaw. He studied composition at the Music Institute in Warsaw under Władysław Żeleński. He then moved to St. Petersburg, where he studied with Nikolai Solovyov (composition) and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov (instrumentation) at the Conservatory, graduating with a gold medal in 1890. In 1904 he settled in Warsaw, where he became professor of the Institute of Music – initially teaching history of music and aesthetics, and from 1909, following the death of Zygmunt Noskowski, also running the composition class. His students included: Jerzy Lefeld, Jan Adam Maklakiewicz, Piotr Perkowski, Kazimierz Wiłkomirski, Bolesław Szabelski.

Violinist, composer, educator. He was educated at the Singing and Music School of the Technical Institute in Cracow, and later at the Vienna Conservatory. He achieved his first artistic success while serving in the military as a violinist and later as a military orchestra leader. He was a co-founder of the symphony orchestra with which he performed at Kraków’s Teatr Stary and the Orkiestra Zdrojowa in Krynica-Zdrój. In 1897 he became the conductor of a theater orchestra in Lviv. His compositions are clearly inspired by Viennese music, which is why he was called the “Polish Strauss”. He was a very prolific composer, creating over 250 compositions, mostly piano dance pieces, but he also wrote fantasies, overtures, marches, solo and choral songs, and even vaudevilles.
