Janina Garścia, Musical Pictures

A collection of 15 pieces for the youngest pianists. Each piece is a separate “picture”, musically illustrating a day in kindergarten, Mrs. Misty, goldfish or snow clouds, thus stimulating the imagination and creativity of the little pianist and making learning to play the piano full of pleasure and fun. The author starts with the simplest pieces, where both hands play alternately, to later introduce the ideas of accompaniment and harmony. However, even in the simplest ones the author manages to create an evocative musical world through expressive melody and skillful modulation. The added advantage to the collection are the clear dynamic and agogic markings and evocative illustrations next to each piece.
