Feliks Rybicki, I Begin to Play

A series of 26 short miniatures, arranged in order of difficulty. The collection is designed for students beginning to learn the piano (1st and 2nd grade). Illustrative motifs and suggestive titles(Na huśtawce (On the Swings), Smutna jesień (Sad Autumn), Konik polny (Grasshopper)) stimulate the child’s imagination, facilitate memorization, and encourage practice. The pieces are not only imaginative and interesting for the player, but also filled with pedagogical content; showing even the youngest students the potential of different articulations, dynamics, and agogics to add expression to their playing.
