This collection of 14 pieces of great teaching value is intended for more advanced students. It contains the most popular dances (the mazur, kujawiak, polka, polonaise and others) with original formal structure and traditional accompaniment. They can be a good preparation for practicing e.g. Chopin’s mazurkas. The pieces are distinctive and inspiring, yet the composer addresses important technical issues in them.
